Mayones Hadrien Feraud Signature

Enjoy the show. It's the 5th time I've seen the trio and every time is a collection of moments to be treasured. Very rare to see, hear, and feel that level of musicianship and music on display in an intimate setting. My wife (who is an artist) used to joke that she was jealous of Hiromi as I'd driven 750 miles to see the trio the first time (taking my son with me), then brought her along to see her twice in SF. After the show last night, she said that I maybe should be jealous of *her* feelings about Hiromi. She really is one-of-a-kind - Hiromi and my wife :D

Holy smokes! You were not kidding, that was one of the most mind-blowing musical performances I have ever seen. I was closer to Simon's kit, so the mix was a bit drum heavy, but fine by me. I haven't been able to stop vibing off that show. I took a friend who's an amazing professinal keyboardist and he couldn't stop raving about how she was the best pianist he's ever seen.

Interesting to see the Jabba HF has been playing for the last few years; from everything I've seen, he clearly favors his Ken Smith in most scenarios, but every once in a while he would bust this out. Very cool looking "dirty parchment" fretboard

How long of a wait until you get it? This is very tempting.

I replied to your PM, but just in case other people are wondering, BassDirect told me they were expecting to get them in early summer (June/July)

One thing I noticed: Chicago Music Exchange apparently just received their Feraud and Malaman Signatures. The weight isn't listed at the moment for the Malaman, but the Feraud apparently weighs 9.7 lb. Which, sure, seems to be lighter than the average Jabba, but is still heavier than I want mine to be (Invalid Link Removed)

BassDirect told me they expected them to weigh around 9 lb, but emphasized that there would of course be variation in the weight (meaning they couldn't promise anything).

But what's interesting is that when I got in touch with Mayones (I was trying to do my due diligence), they estimated they would be around 3.5 kg (approximately 7.7 lb). That would be insanely light, and I wonder where they got the number from

And just cause, here's the HF Signature with matching wood knobs; I personally have been a fan of Mayones for a while, and love the tops on a lot of their Jabbas, but I always think they use WAY too much chrome

Simon Phillips. He's an amazing drummer - used every drum and cymbal to great effect. He and Hiromi have a chemistry that I have never seen equaled. Period. I first saw him live in '80 playing with Jeff Beck. He can play any style, but has a deft touch and is incredibly melodic and inventive.

I have seen her solo once, seen the trio now 5x. Each time is a religious experience. Last night we took my wife's sister and a friend (both artists) in town from Hong Kong. They are not particularly music fans, but they were both moved (one to tears) by the show.
Saw the Hiromi trio last night at SPACE Evanston.
Hadrien was there. He was not playing the Mayones.

Jazz Basses are selling. He's just helping them sell their Jazz Bass. Don't hate the player, hate the Game.
