Enjoy the show. It's the 5th time I've seen the trio and every time is a collection of moments to be treasured. Very rare to see, hear, and feel that level of musicianship and music on display in an intimate setting. My wife (who is an artist) used to joke that she was jealous of Hiromi as I'd driven 750 miles to see the trio the first time (taking my son with me), then brought her along to see her twice in SF. After the show last night, she said that I maybe should be jealous of *her* feelings about Hiromi. She really is one-of-a-kind - Hiromi and my wife![]()
Holy smokes! You were not kidding, that was one of the most mind-blowing musical performances I have ever seen. I was closer to Simon's kit, so the mix was a bit drum heavy, but fine by me. I haven't been able to stop vibing off that show. I took a friend who's an amazing professinal keyboardist and he couldn't stop raving about how she was the best pianist he's ever seen.
