Meatbox reissue, huh?

It actually works fine without a sub setup assuming your cab is capable of reproducing the notes.

Yep, can confirm. I use a 18" folded horn (Acoustic 301). Works great, shakes walls, massages my innards, annoys the egg slicer guys. I love it!

But I also remember being confused when I first got the MB. To help my tiny brain cope with that, I decided to pretend that it's like a mixer of 3 voices (octave, sub, low) with a master volume (output).
First, I adjusted Octave (rolled way back) and Output, then I brought in sub and low (both almost cranked, that's what this pedal is all about).

And as pointed out: playing technique is very important. The softer I play, the louder I get, it seems to me.

Hey @sillyfabe care to share some of your settings?

My “main” setting; used a low-end booster with slight volume boost.

This is my octaver setting: Used when I want to solo the octave and purposefully glitch it out by running everything into it as it’s second to last on all my boards.

This is my slight rumble added to some bottoms boost.

Its a very cool pedal for sure kind of quacky but very cool.. I used it this past weekend and was quite pleased.

To me the output performs more like a volume cut unity being cranked and Im OK with that.

Im getting tones that are thick as a freakin brick. Gonna try it out this weekend in my ABB project. Like I said before I set it for minimal affect and use it to thicken in an always on type arrangement.

Very nice pedal.

And my cabs are capable of going fairly deep but it does really bloom through some large subs.

Also the FOH guy commented on how good it sounded!

So I am totally happy with my Meatbox except for one minor detail it seems to like to make smoke come out of my ears on my IEM it seems to very easily Overdrive through Aviom and into my ears probably the signal is clipping somewhere not sure. Need to work on this or split the signal.

Gee if this pedal is known to melt woofers I wonder what it can do with IEMs? :)
I've had people tel me their IEMs went all wobbly and distorted when I kicked it on.

Running it before a comp tames it a bit, but still gets massive. I have a set spot where I can put the output volume that still gets the subs going but right below the threshold of making the frontline nauseous.

Everything dimed with the output at around 11:30-12:30. This is good for Octave down sub attacking. For reg sub attacks I turn the Octave knob all the way counter clockwise and it basically has the same effect but no Octave Down so I can play down the neck.

I really like the octave dimed too. But it gets way too nutty. So I bring it back some. But I’ve been struggling with finding my sweet spot on that knob since I got it.
