Meris Enzo Synth Pedal

You made my day with these sounds , I should receive my Enzo tomorrow .... can’t wait !!!

I’m really hoping that I can plug it through my Source Audio Hub for Midi settings and expression pedal ....

Awesome! Please, let me know how the Source Audio Hub works out for MIDI. Our Meris MIDI I/O has signal conditioning to make sure the MIDI signal has the right amount of current and isolation, I have not had the chance to see if the Hub will work as well. But I really hope it does! Presets makes exploring the pedal much easier.

I can’t really see how the Hub would connect to the Enzo - the Hub uses a proprietary cable (TRRS mini jack) to connect to the SA pedals. It seems that the Meris MIDI I/O would still be needed to hook up to it.

Do you think you may add a USB port to the MIDI I/O in a future version? There are a few iOS (and presumably Android) apps that can send MIDI PC and CC messages via USB. I use one to change presets on my SA Hub.

Ok, thanks everyone for the suggestions! It is really helpful.

I made this clip which starts with square wave, medium resonance, and fast attack and decay. From there I mess with the knobs as I go (as well as eventually switch to sawtooth wave). And I also added a little bit from the other modes as well (Arp, Poly, Dry) just to give an idea how those react with bass as well.

Also, I bought the Akai Deep Impact when it was first released, and I absolutely love it. The more the merrier!

This sounds really, really good. Thanks for posting those!

Can the attack and decay be set independently? I wasn’t quite clear on this from the manual. Do you happen to know the range of triggered envelope attack and decay times possible?

This demo was great, thank you. Now the real question - when will they be for sale again?

The "Filter Env" knob combines the attack and decay times on to one knob. You get a whole range of settings to choose from, but no you can't tune them independently.

Are they interdependent then? Or does one get a fixed attack time with variable decay time (and vice versa)?

My favorite way to accomplish what you are asking for is to add a bluetooth adapter to our Meris MIDI I/O. It is phantom powered by our MIDI I/O and provides MIDI In and MIDI Out to however many pedals of ours you have on your board. Terry demonstrates at around 2 minutes or so in to our video:

Both Yamaha (Yamaha MD-BT01) and quicco.co.jp (mi. 1) make really great MIDI bluetooth adapters. And they are both just under $50. Extremely useful devices!

Yes, for the most part. On one half the knob you get full control of the Attack time (with the Enzo setting a complimentary decay time), and then on the other half of the knob, you get full Decay time control (likewise the Enzo setting a complimentary attack time)

So the “complimentary” attack time varies automatically depending on where the decay is set manually? Sorry if I’m being unclear.

Yes, our full focus is on building and shipping more Enzos (besides trying to be helpful on a forum here and there). Our newsletter is the best way to get restock alerts for our site, and you should start seeing them at dealers around the country this week and next. Also, Enzos will start showing up overseas as well (shipping just takes a bit longer) in the UK, EU, Japan, Australia, and more.

Yes, that's right for one half of the knob, and then the reverse of that for the other half. It feel much more natural in person, it is harder to describe than it is to use. :)

I was thinking to go out of the Hub’s MIDI out to the Enzo

So how would u use an expression pedal with the Meris MIDI I/O?

Well I had a chance to try the Enzo at rehearsal last night and I will definitely be adding one to my synth table. It sounded great through guitar, and the bass. But, I think it’s going to really shine with the synth... where I’ve already got a Mercury and Polymoon in the signal chain.
