Sounds like a great product, though I have my reservations about it being as "affordable" as that page seems to be aiming at.
I think the M6/9 (9 moreso) is very clean and transparent compared to the juicy tone of the BB750. If that's what you're going for, it might be a good thing.
Not a very good comparision IMO. Toyota is a very practical and reliable car. For Bugatti, I think you can not even drive it on most roads in the World

I thought the M6 at $999 was a great purchase, pretty much cured my big amp GAS. So if the the M3 is around $699 or so it is probably worth it. The rated 300 watts will probably suffice for most uses. My M6 is never past 9' o'clock on the master.
Now if there was a mesa in the micro size that didn't sacrifice tone, well then more GAS.

It concerns me that the M3 doesn't have the voicing contril. While I "generally set it at 2, and bump some mids," I do actually use it sometimes too...

In all honesty, I'm not very stoked about the M3. I also agree they cut some features out that I think will hurt this amp, and personally, I think they shoulda' made it smaller too. We'll see tho.
I'm not in the market for this, but has anyone seen a published weight or size spec? I mean, if it's basically half of an M6 in terms of power and the power section set up, I doubt they would be able to fit that into a "Micro" size. I'm not an EE and I'm just speculating.
As it is, it looks like they may have cut some features out(i.e. voicing control) just to fit it in the footprint they have.
I have an M6 and it works for me very well. I will agree that there are times when I wish for a more powerful or intuitive EQ section(either Para like the WA or Graphic), but on the whole, it works for me.
If the M3 has that "lead sled" sound or the same wump as the M6 only in a smaller package, it might be "micro" enough for some that are looking for that M6 tone and are wanting to downsize. I would also be interested to know if it's 2 ohm capable like it's big brother.
YMMV and all that jazz...

Agree somewhat, but if you could turn on and off the tubiness, iit would be great. Switch from M6 tone to walkabout tone in the walkabout size but 8 lbs lighter. C'mon Mesa you can do it.
