Hmmm... I don't know what this might mean or when, but Tom has been bugging those guys for a while now about a new all-tube bass amp, and let's just say when I've been around for that conversation at NAMM shows, we don't necessarily get a "what are you talking about" look back from them. :)

They are trying to trim this guy down to be as affordable as possible, but still deliver that "Carbine" sound. I was just looking at that M3. They also introduced a new Guitar head called the transatlantic

I'm not holding my breath for the new Mesa tube amp, especially since my Buster is about to come home from the shop with new switches, and a brand new sextet of JJ/Tesla power tubes. Can't wait to hear the difference. (been 3 weeks in the shop).

I have also been pumping them to make a 2-channel amp kind of like this. My idea was a 600+ watt head with two channels (preamps all the way to the tube/ss drivers), one of which would be basically a Walkabout front end, and one of which would be basically an M6 front end. Both great flavors of Mesa/Boogie bass tone in one convenient package! :bassist: :bassist: :bassist:

I really think that this would work, and that it would sell. :cool:

The back panel says "Suggested Load 4 Ohms" which is exactly what the Walkabout says. I and many other TB'ers have run the Walkabout at 2ohm for hours on end (:bassist:) with excellent results so it is quite possible that the M3 will do so as well.

This (IMO) would a genuine innovation in the bass amp world... and I agree it would sell.

Hey...one amp that would cover my Walkabout *and* M6 tone?
That would also mean my Walkabout would get a massive power upgrade.....


Hmmmmm.....yeeeeaaaaahhhhh...I'd hit that.
