Yes, and pushing a tube output section to the edge is an entirely different story than pushing a solid state output section to the edge. ;) :cool:

Yes, and in a GOOD way!! Just ask Tom Scholz, he knows. :)

I wonder if Mesa has any advice regarding replacing the power tubes with lower power versions so this is possible at lower overall volume settings? I've heard of other folks doing that with other all tube amps... and I think Mesa even has guitar amps that you can literally turn some power tubes on and off for this same reason.

What bass are you playing and what style? With a Thunderbird in a rock band, I liked the 212, but with my Warwicks (Corvette $$ and Thumb BO 5) I like the 115 better as a stand alone. However, as things have gotten louder, I gave the 212 a second shot. I like the tone, but it isn't as loud as the 115. Using them both at the same time doesn't feel quite right (as I said above).

I tried the 210 in the shop and didn't like it, but with the extra cabinet volume and two more drivers, the 410 might be just fine. I've been looking into the 610 and/or 412 world lately.

Well I Float to alot of different bands around town. I play Country, rock, blues, grunge, metal. I have a P Bass that is not too bad, but Ive been thinking about snagging a Music Man. They are so versitile that I think they would cover the other styles better than the P Bass. An they sound awsome thru that Boogie set up. The Fender Rig im using now just is no comparison. Its like comparing a toyota to a bugatti.

I think Im leaning towards either 2 4x10 cabinets or 1 1200 cabinet. I played one of those the other day and it sounds spectacular.

I am proudly about to join the distinguished line of Mesa Boogie Owners.
This little guy is heading my way - hope to have it here be end of week. :hyper:
It will have pass muster against my Markbass, SWR, and GK Amps. Based on all the reviews here - I am stoked! It is going to drive two SWR 4x10's and me thinks it is going to kill.

I just returned my M6, and bought a 400+. I saved a couple hundred dollars and it is the best sounding amp I have ever had. As much as I've tried I have never liked Ampeg and believe me I've tried. But this Mesa scratches me right where I itch.

Tell us what you did and didn't like about the M6. I was thinking of trading in my Big Block 750 for an M9 but am going to lose a lot of cash doing that.
