My Mesa service manual lists the following information:
D-180 - produced 7/82 to 12/85
400 - produced '85 to '89
400+ - produced '89 - present
So it looks like the Bass 400+ is the most popular head. Why does everyone have them? Just curious.
Here is a picture of my rig, finally! It's nothing all that special to look at I guess - a Mesa Powerhouse 115 cabinet powered by a Markbass SA450 and going through a Zoom B2.1u multi-fx and an MXR Bass Blowtorch pedal..

BB750 on a 1x15 cab. Sounds awesome. Both the clean and overdrive sections are terrrific. Lot's of tube tone from a hybrid amp. I can't wait to add a 2x10 cab.
