Here is my Mesa rig. I really love the rig but sometimes I would like to carry less gear to a gig. It is almost too nice to take out and play. Very impressed with the rig.

Hey SR5X5,
I kinda like the look of that Mesa amp case. How much extra did it cost?

I'm not sure of the price difference because it was the only V12 the shop had, so I bought it. I actually pulled the head out of the case and ordered the front handles from Mesa/Boogie yesterday. $7.35 each.

I'll probably be posting the head case up for sale soon. I won't be needing it. It weighs a little more then 20 pounds, and it's really solid. I put my V12 in the rack.

PM sent.

Count me in this club, will post photos when I get home. Currently, I own a Mesa Walkabout scout, a Powerhouse 4x10, and 2x10. Next up, an M Pulse 600 head, cause I love the tone from the Walkabout so much, I want more power in the same vein. I'm in the Ampeg club, but I'm down to just one head, (V4BH), and one 1x15 cab. The Boogies are taking over!

No pictures yet, but I have a Walkabout head with both 12" and 15" Scout cabs (just bought the latter).

Here's the updated last as of current. For some reason, I can't edit the first post anymore. I have answered all PM's regarding numbers.

Also, here's the most current picture of my rig. Some pedal changes have been made, but the cabs/head are the same:

initial thoughts? mini review? man, i bet that things AWESOME!!!
must....know.....more!

OK. Here's a quick mini review. I've only had a total of about 1 hour on it so far.

Testing with: Bergantino HT322 cabinet, Monster 3' Speakon, Stingray 5 HH, Fender Am Dlx Jazz 5 (with Quarter Pounders), Core X2 cable (clearest cable I have found to date).

The V12 is a BEAST! What a loud bass head. I should know loud because it's sitting on a Crest CA9, and that's pretty loud too!

Anyway, my initial thoughts are still the same after 1 hour. Very loud and clear head. The A/B switching makes it like 2 preamps to make 2 different tones by one switch. Very cool.

Tone: I'm used to my Ampeg SVP-CL, set to "Ultra low classic", so this was totally new to me. It sounds more "hi-fi" then what I am used to. Not saying that's bad at all. The notes are very clear, and did I mention it's loud? Turn the output to 12 o'clock, and the master at 9 o'clock (it starts at 7!), and the room is shaking!

Overdrive is not my thing, so I cannot review that part at all. Sorry.

This head is clean! No hiss or unwanted noise at all. The knobs are "active", so whatever that means, but they are very sensitive. A little turn goes a long way. I tried making it close to my SVP-CL by cutting the 600Hz and boosting the low, and what I got was a Hi-Fi, dare I say "new metal" version of the CL. Perhaps a blend between new and old. I had to cut the treble a litte as well. It's a little bright.

I think the V12 is what they were trying to create when the Big Block 750 came out, but with 2 channels, much more power, and more options. It is a monster. I really couldn't see anyone disliking this head. No reason to, especially at only 28.4 pounds.

I spent some time at the hollywood shop today. Man was that fun. The Titan sounds great and I love that they added center detents to the controls. The 810 is taught, punchy, and authoritative. The 412 is squishy, warm, and hifi in all the right ways. The powerhouse 1000 is just scary on the low end -- too much for me but for any bottom-cravers it would be just the ticket. Its all top shelf gear.

They also have a huge selection of Lakland basses in there so I got to jam a USA Decade through an M-pulse 600 (best head ever) and powerhouse 1x12.

That sounded really really unreally.
