Mesa Boogie, Part 3

I just traded a mixer that I wasn't using for a Diesel Powerhouse Jr.
I have a Prodigy on the way.

Guess I am going to rock some Mesa Boogie :bassist:
And if you want a matching cab to make it a full stack there is a Jr. at the GC here in OP (just noticed you are in Gatorville!) It's a cool cab, wish I could pick it up but all resources are aimed for home ownership next year. Once I get a room I can dedicate for music, office, etc. I'll be able to collect some things.

Report back on your thoughts about the Prodigy - me, I want my very own 400 again (sold mine to my church - still play through it though).

Just picked up a Carbine M6 and a Diesel 410. Love the tone, not so much the weight!Link Removed

I love my Diesel 410. It was the one piece of gear that really opened my eyes (and ears) to the fact that products which may look very similar can perform very differently. It still sounds great, even when compared to the best 4x10's on the market today, but it is just WAY too heavy for me to gig anymore. I think mine is like 120 lbs!

Hi Tom,

Have you compared/contrasted this cab to some of Mike Arnopol's MAS cabinets? Just curious to hear your thoughts.

There's a Mesa 410 sitting at my local GC (they want eight bills for it!!!) and, of all things, was a Backline 600 sitting atop it. I actually like the Backline (owned one briefly) and noodled on it for a minute or two; the lack of a HPF allows the cab to reproduce any sub lows you give it. Great sounding cab, but I want a 210 Flex one day, and I can have that for about the same price.

Thanks,

Raz

I own a Flex210 and a 66/110 stack, and I love them very much. The Diesel 410 is a bit more round/full/warm, and the MAS cabs are a bit more detailed, but quite honestly, I could gig very happily with either. The MAS cabs are much, much easier to move, though.
