If it's in a rack, drill holes on the side of it. It's simpler and more reliable than adding a fan. Also, it will never fail. That's what I did and the amp runs hot but not as hot as what you describe.
I did that for my previous amp that had a thermal shutdown once, it was an Ampeg SVT 4 Pro. Since I drilled those holes, I never had any more issues.
