.... even if drilling holes on the top part of the chassis shouldn't really hurt the amp :)

When I use my Titan on an outdoor stage or warm environment (and really all amps I use) I just use a clip on fan (6" or larger) and just clip it on the rack. It has been a no hassle solution and I've never had a problem with over heating.

You have my old one (assuming this is the one you got from peteybass). If so, it does not have the updates. I was going to send it to Mesa to have it done, but I never saw the need, as it worked flawlessly when I owned it.

I think I do have your old one and I agree, it has always work flawless. The only problem I have with it is that I don't use it much anymore. :bag: I left the band business and now only play at church or as a fill-in here and there and that's mostly in-ear / no amp. I might end up selling it. :(

For your information, after cleaning my pots two weeks ago, most of them started cracking and making terrible noises. I spent the last two weeks kicking myself and then decided to change those ports by myself.
I had to face a problem: The part numbers described in the manual are no longer produced. For example the Solo and Output pots are part number 590737.
But I've found out actually you just had to replace the "0" with a "2" or a "3". I then ordered pot serial 593737 and it was fine! Just the exact same part and taper.
I then changed all the cracking pots yesterday and it's now brand new!

Can someone tell me what all repairs are supposed to come with the upgrade? I sent a Titan amp back late last year because it pooped out on me...it was one that never had the upgrades performed. When I got it back the invoice said that MB rebuilt the Mosfet block, and installed and calibrated a new transformer.

I haven't had any issues with it since I've had it back, but it gets super hot on top...the top is really hot to the touch. I have it in the bottom of a rack case but I have 1U space in between it and the power conditioner.

I've ready where there are vents cut in the top lid, and an extra fan?

Call the factory and ask to speak with the service manager. He will know what was done to your amp, what version you have, and what is normal.

I spoke to the Service guy at MB and he said if I wasn't having any issues with the amp (besides being hot) then Not to worry about it. He didn't give me a run down of the actual work performed.

I'm not having any issues, other than it gets hot. I can put my hand on the top lid and need to remove it after about 4-5 seconds. But the MB guy said that was normal, and that the amp has some kind of fuse? that will shut the amp of if it gets too hot. Guess I'll take his word for it...

But I'm going to get a clip on fan and put it on the back of the rack during shows...it'll just make me feel better to cool it down a little more.
