Yep. Totally agree. But we haven't come up with any details yet. I just threw out a few ideas. Plus the man, himself, hasn't chimed in. Let's see what he and the rest of us WA-lovin' crowd have to say. Just trying to whet everyone's appetite.

I can only imagine. I would love to camp out in your head for a day, but I fear that once in there I would not be able to find my way out.

Funny story... one of the guys who was on the design team for the Yamaha PM series (PM-1000/1800/2000 specifically) was stuck on a really tough problem. He woke up one morning with an idea, grabbed a grease pencil and headed for the shower. The problem was solved on the shower wall!

Hmm. About $225. Other high quality Made-in-USA pedals I've looked at since yesterday run around $175-$200 and contain the features I've suggested. Some of the European designs are going for much, much more and are not tube driven.
I feel that the $300+ designs price themselves out of most people's budget. That's a lot of cash for a pedal. Bass players are not nearly as prolific as guitar players so this price point makes more sense.
So Chef, using your analogy, I would say that we're not looking for a Cadillac, my friend, we're looking for Chevrolet.
BTW, Reverb has a V-1 for $313 +S&H - too rich for my blood.
Edit: Actually, there are several. Sorry, I'm not that familiar with Reverb.com

Sorry, looked at the V-1's again and I can't justify $300.
