A phone call to Mesa customer service might help you...

Just got my extension cabinet and new grills, I figure y'all would appreciate this..
I brought my LMII and the Walkabout to rehearsal a few weeks ago. After several songs, I switched back to the Walkabout, it spanked the LMII in the rehearsal space setting. I like the LMII with my two 4x10's though and with my 6 String Bass it sounds great. Walkabout is the headliner these days.

very cool... do you know if you can just order the custom grills on their own and swap em out yourself? and out of curiosity, how much were the grills?
i asked about custom colored tolex when i was at the store, and the cost seemed prohibitively high. a simple grill swap shouldn't be nearly as bad, i'd imagine (ok, i mean HOPE).
I've heard Mesa prices are going up, from several sources now.
Well I just paid $1299 for my walkabout 12" yesterday and the guy at Guitar Center was confused when he rang me up, as the price came up as $1449 ... he said the price increase must have just come in... the price tag was out of date.. so I made out, since they NEVER discount these..
1449 is the current price for a 12 combo with custom color/

Can I hear a congratulations from my bass playing brothers......
I've just joined the club and have a silver face Walkabout headed my way; defineatly a leap of faith based on what YOU guys have written in that I've never played through one in the past and no one stocks them near me.
Can't wait and will report back!

Why are these so much more expensive than the other Mesa stuff anyway? I agree they're worth it, but they're nevertheless more expensive "pound for pound" than the other fine Mesa gear.
Looking fwd to your impression-what cab(s) do you have on hand to run it through?
