Mesa Boogie Walkabout Part 5!!!

Carbines are cleaner and more modern sounding than the WA, but still warm. The M9 is an outstanding piece of gear IMO. I cannot imagine not liking it......but some folks don`t, so go figure
The Walkabout is beautifully tubey, rich and creamy; but, only so loud.
It'll overdrive well, if that's your thing.
The M9 is a clean machine, and will crush a bus. It's got no overdrive or grit to speak of.

I LOVE my WA into a 410 or 215!
Tone of the Gods into the Berg NV215!
I also like it into the Berg AE212.
ALSO....... I often use my 8 ohm WA Scout combo by itself, mainly in my blues/soul band, where I use both Acoustic upright & electric.
To me, it has plenty of headroom playing with a 'regular' loud drummer

Haven't had band rehearsal yet with my new Walkabout Scout 112, but by itself I'm really enjoying the tone and it sure seems like it's loud enough to keep up with a moderately loud drummer and guitarist. Very happy with it so far.

I have been surprised at the volume. It really has kept up with 5 pc band with ease.
Hi, I picked up a 12" WA from a TBer.
I opend the box, plugged it in my 5 string at home and thought it sounded rattely, not very deep, not overly impressed..(that was the file cabinets, ceiling tiles, etc shaking)... Took it to church for practice this morning, WOW did it sound great! The B string was fantastic! After the first song the drummer looked at me and said "Now that's a bass amp! It sends shivers up my spine." I'm very pleased!
