The MP600 should drive that 610 just fine... gain at 11 is very modest. Try turning the gain to 1:00 and roll back the vol.

Mesa M-Pulse600

right, you would think so, but I know what I heard.
No sense in using the cab if I have to turn the gain down, I can run the gain on the 750 at almost 3 o'clock and have the master at 2, and not get the rattle I'm getting with the M-Pulse.
My repair guy suggested I get some better 10 inch drivers.
I may just run both rigs, because I like the way the 750 sounds with the Goliath. I'll most likely get another big cabinet for the M-Pulse, maybe the Boogie 4x12.
I know matching heads and cabs are voiced to suit each other (SWR), the Goliath has the Custom PAS 10's. Again, I just know what I hear.
Basses are Ibanez SR 706 with Barts (I changed the battery just to make sure, still the same issue) and Czech Spec 5 with DC40's wired to 18 volts. Gain has to be rolled back with the Spector.

This reminds me of Mesa's infamous "passive mid" control explanation.
They are telling you not to run a 2 ohm load, you just don't want to hear it
There is a better solution anyway. Get a 4 ohm PH412 and use that when you need more juice instead of hauling two cabs.

I've been a long time m-pulse user pairing it with the PH 2x10 and 1x15.
It's a nice but unnecessarily heavy combination of equipment.
I was going to see if you guys would recommend me switching to the 2x12 or the 4x10 option?
I love using only my 2x10, although at 8ohms I prefer using both for the volume benefits.
Still, since I like a pronounced (not hifi) fingerstyle, I wanted to see which cab (4x10 or 2x12) you would recommend. I want some of the bass to stay, and some more of the clarity to stay, so I'm looking forward to opinions!

I realize that this thread is more than two and a half years old, so you're unlikely to ever read the following. But I've just gotta have my say... 
Despite your efforts to explain, it's just really hard to say - without the opportunity to troubleshoot hands-on. Certain cabs simply don't "get along" with certain amps - and vice-versa. Rather than make the matter into an engineering project, most players choose the more pragmatic approach: they simply experiment with alternate cabs - until they find a really good match.
Don't go there. There are no good recommendations for a 6x10 + 1x15 combination. It's a terrible idea. Instead, look for one or more identical cabs....
If you want to stick with the Mesa Powerhouse line, get a PH4x12, or a pair of PH2x12s. Or a Mesa Powerhouse 8x10. Then, crank it!

I haven't ever played a DB750 so can't help there.
I took posession of a GK MB500 today as a "gigbag" rehearsal amp and its an interesting A/B with the MPulse. The Mesa is MUCH smoother the GK is more articulate. The Mesa has a wealth of tone shaping on board and suits my gig tone to a T.

This thread is a really interesting read. Amazing how far the world of bass-amp-dom has come in only 6 years. It pretty accurately describes how I hear the M-Pulse - and why I've come back to it. I'm yet to find a light weight amp which can do what this amp does.
No I haven't actually. TBH I haven't been all that impressed with recordings I've heard so haven't jumped out of my skin to try one.
I get the impression I would need to get busy with the EQ to find a tone that works for me live.... and that EQ is relatively limited. If it had a more featured EQ i'd be more interested.

My main two amps are the M-p 600 and Streamliner 900, and I use them interchangeably... I rarely use the semi-para EQ of the Mesa, and without it, *to me* they sound very, very close to one another...

If you like the clarity of the GK MB Fusion I can understand you wouldn't be too thrilled with the MP. There's no way I could get these amps to sound the same. I like both FWIW.

While I only moderately disliked the MP600, I really didn't like the SL900 even a little.
Those two relatively similar heads are definitely on the other end of the tonal spectrum that you enjoy. No harm in that. Different strokes!

I have an Mpulse 600 coming early next week.... Ive pulled out my older Genz GBE1200 too.. Looks like im going retro.. Back to Iron....See how my back likes it....
The M-p 600 isn't all that heavy - mine's in an SKB 4U ATA rackcase, with a DTR-2000 tuner, XDR-95 wireless receiver, surge strip, spare instrument and speaker cables - and the whole thing is still under 50lbs...
