I had Leland assemble it.I thought about doing the build but right now I have too much going on and the kit would sit in my garage for who knows how long.And the price difference(to have him do it or I build it) wasnt enough to make me want to build it.
I'm seriously considering exchanging my new Titan for an M9. I've had a few issues with the Titan and I can't get a decent sound out of it when I slap. I really have to cut the treble or it just pierces the ears. I've read in the Titan thread where a few people have had issues with their Titan and I haven't seen people talking about problems with their M9 in this thread. Anybody own (or tried) both the Titan and the M9?? If so - Which do you prefer??

A strange electronic crackling noise that causes the speakers to jump when it fires up while in standby. I took it to the music store that I bought it from and they fixed the problem. Some timing relay thing or something. Then the other day some notes were distorting while I was playing (the OD was off) and I have a fresh battery in my bass. I live way up in the northwoods of Wisconsin and I need a reliable amp - I can't afford breakdowns. Plus I've read in the Titan thread where people had the amp stop working at gigs and such. I haven't seen horror stories like that on the M9 thread so far. Granted I haven't read every post thou. 
I just got home from my 7 hour round trip to the music store that I deal with (there are no good music stores in Northern Wisconsin!). I returned my Titan and got an M9 in the Mesa rack. I also traded in my Mesa PH412 cabinet and got a Genz Benz Uber 410 cabinet. The PH412 was an awesome cabinet , but was just too heavy when I had to carry it by myself. The rig sounds awesome! Didn't have much time to do any knob tweaking yet.
I have my M9 in a rack with the monitor and headphone/IEM amps. The other day we played a gig at a small bar that has its own PA so I left the rack behind and brought my Genz Shuttle since it's so light.
Once the gig started, i found myself really missing the M9. Something about the tone is just so right.

The MB-Fusion may turn out to be a decent "normal" venue substitute, but really...the M9 is a two space skb isn't hard to move.
And, ya know, why not carry a Howitzer to a knife fight.

. Speaking of the 15/6-M9 duo, this am local Montreal TBers Smallmouth Bass and Lookiel came by for some gear samplin. They were quite impressed with that pair
Anybody have any tips for a M9 newbie?? Such as setting the Eq , voicings , and the compressor?? Just looking for a good starting point to mold my sound. Any tips or advice will be greatly appreciated.

For me, eq settings depend on the bass and room, but flat gets the nod most of the time. I use the graphic eq as a boost function by bumping mids-I kick it in during the occasional fill. I leave the comp settings both at about 10 o'clock most of the time. Gain between 10 and noon, depending on the bass-that keeps it pretty clean. YMMV.
