Mesa or Eich?

Hey folks,

I'm new here and would appreciate some feedback on this. I ordered two RS28V cabs and until those are ready, I'm trying to decide on a head. I've been borrowing the AG700 for the past year from a very good friend. I mention this to give a sense of what I've been hearing for bass. I like the WD-800 but recently saw the Eich T1000. I like that there are two independent outputs for the Eich but the Mesa has so much going for it in the value for $ department, especially considering maintenance down the line.

I was considering GK too but some of the newer models seem to visit the repair shop for often than I would like. Long-term life and serviceability are very important to me.

I'm in a buy once, cry once state of mind so I'm taking my time to try to be thorough and make the best decision for myself. With that said, I welcome any thoughts/opinions on this matter. Can anyone speak to their experiences with these amps?

Thanks in advance!

Are you able to hear Amps Mentioned?
Last month I was in your situation and could not hear Amps I was interested in.

I chose the Mesa WD 800 and things you mentioned about Mesa as a Company were involved in that decision also get large Mesa Community here along with #agedhorse.

I am very content and happy with my choice
Obviously if I got something like Eich, Genzler, Bergantino I may have felt the same.

I had other reasons also and just went with my research and my gut feeling:)

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately I don't know of a shop that offers both near me. I'm going to do some more digging just to be sure I make the best choice for myself.
