Mesa Powerhouse vs Subway cabs

HI! I own a m9 carbine (600watts) into a Ebs 210 4 ohm, i´m wondering a powerhouse 212 or 410 8ohm (second hand same price) this bring me 300watts, don´t know if it is enough or do the efford and buy 212 subway one new, here in Spain is hard to find mesa stuff. I am happy with my set but i want to match mesa head with mesa cabs will be better sound or going into epifani or other...

thanks

I wouldn’t recommend operating the M9 at high levels into less than 4 ohms. While it should survive, it’s more risky and the cost of repair is very high (if the parts are available). The performance is also much better at 4 ohms than 2 ohms.

A single Subway 212 would be a huge step up, I think you are asking more than your 210 is capable of.

Check with Thomson, there were 212’s shipped to Europe.

Yes the idea is only have one cab, sell my EBS and get only one, don´t know if 8ohm 300 Mesa watts or new subways hehhe, thank u for the reply!

The 212 (and 215) is 4 ohms only, it would be an ideal match to get the most out of the head and not jeopardize your amp.

If going for a single Subway cabinet, the 115 or 210 are IMO the best single cabinet (you can always add to it) without going straight to the 212/215/410)

Everything except the 410 is in stock in Europe at Thomann: Thomann Buy favourably priced Bass Amps online at Thomann
