I'll add that if you are a Metalhead it's a great way to enjoy fun being poked at the culture. I find it sheds new light on the kind of stuff that you would find out about by, say, reading an issue of Guitar World.

You are correct sir, pretty much every metalhead I know loves the show. I feel like most metalheads are able to laugh at themselves and their subculture, as soon as I find a metalhead who can't I know I don't have to speak to that person anymore.
Look out for the band references like Dimmu Burger etc.
St. Necrophagist Hospital, Burzum's Burgers, etc. There are quite a few of them!
