I own a Diamond Series Model-T which this look to be based off of. I've also tried the USA version of the Model-T with these same pickups. My opinion is go for it. The design of the Model-T is fantastic, and the PUs sound incredible. My only complaint is, for some reason the J bridge PU do not come with a cover for some reason.
Schecter prices jump for all their "artist" basses.My kid loves T-birds and looked ino the Nikki Sixx signature and I thought $999 was a bit much for a Diamond series Schecter.
Michael Anthony Bass vs. Original Model T:
The MA feels great. On the heavier side at 9+ lbs. The pickups in the MA are fantastic. Great depth and clarity. The color is definitely more of a black than a carbon grey as the first stock pictures suggested. But its a really nice, not typical black.

I really like my model T, it does the P thing just fine. The added J pickup is nice, but I don't use it much, but its there if I want it. This MA bass looks like a nice take on the T, I love the binding.
Is this the Korean made version? How is the overall construction? are the strings lined up correctly from the nut to the bridge? I've seen a number of basses including an older U.S. made P bass deluxe, where the bridge wasn't lined up correctly which causes the strings to be misaligned on the neck and over the pickups.
Probobobollaly oughtn't worry about it. Money is nothing. Discover and explore for us all!
Schecters are a cool alternative to the norm. Michael Anthony don't get the respect around here in some circles, from hateful EVH either. He's cool in my book, was part of some great music, no matter what Eddie says. If Sammy and Satch like him, he can't be that bad. Though I'm a firm believer in used, do what make you happy
I bet cream coloured pickup covers would look nice on the carbon black model as they'd match the cream binding etc.
I was torn between the Michael Anthony signature and the Model T session. The MA has the thin neck like the dUg bass, that I love, but I didn't know anything about the Monstertone pickups until last week a friend gave me the history on them and he spent some time with one a NAMM also. He helped me make my decision and I'm so happy I got one. Schecter is making some amazing instruments, especially for the $$$ ! The out of the box setup was great. My only complaint is the Ernie Ball Slinky strings 45-105 that came on it sucked badly. On the 3rd day and about 6 hrs of time on them I decided to put my favorite DR Hi-Beams(MR-45, 45-105) on it. I'm amazed at the difference. I Love everything about this instrument. The pickups are awesome and my P is actually a little over-wound from spec @ 13K which is fine with me.

Just got me a new Schecter Michael Anthony signature a week ago to go along with my dUg Pinnick signature I purchased 6 months ago. For the $$, Schecter is producing amazing exceptional instruments. The thin nut/neck and Monster Tone Pickups make this unique, IMO. I already personalized my MA to my taste with a custom cream pearl pick-guard I fabracated yesterday. It's such a pleasure to play. Pictures with new pick-guard.
Looks great. All Schecters I've played have been 100% competent nicely built instruments. As per specs the neck is close to that of a Sterling in profile. If there ever is a 5 string version I'd be very interested.
