I have owned a few schecters, and played many others. I really like them, but the ones with their own pickups were all pretty bland compared to the ones they sell with EMGs installed. (Just my opinion though)

While I haven't owned that bass, I've owned (and currently own) 3 equivalent price and quality basses from Schecter. Fit, finish, and hardware should all be really solid. For an overseas made bass, these have always rivaled some US fit and finishes. Unfortunately like the poster above, I've never found Schecter brand pickups to be impressive. I'd assume these were custom wound for Michael Anthony, and as such, may not be similar to their other pickups.
Their basses though, don't have a great resale value. If I were you, I'd wait to get one on the used market, or on sale. Then you'd be getting a hell of a deal.

Looks like a fancier version of the Robert Deleo/model T Schecter

I agree with blubass. Not sure what the justification is for that pricepoint. I would buy a used model t and save a few hundred. Not knocking the bass, i have the Deleo sig with EMG's. Great value and well built.
Of course it has WSC THD4 bridge and WSC KG400 tuners and the USA Monster Tone P and J pickups than Schecter worked with Michael Anthony to create, and it just happens to be one of the nicest looking PJ basses made.
Unless you like the Model T in either sunburst or natural...I mean, those are finish options you don't see every day, right?

Had Model T in 3t burst it was killer. Unfortunately I've been playing 5 string G&L since 06 and the thin next of the T caused my left hand to cramp 4 songs into a gig. I had no complaints about the bass. I also owned a omen 5 by Schecter that was also a great bass at the 500.00 price point.
But alas, it does not compare to my G&Ls

The neck profile between the Model-T, DeLeo signature, and the Michael Anthony signature are drastically different. It's the difference between a Fender Precision and Jazz neck. There's also several other differences, so no, the basses aren't really that similar.
All of this stuff can be compared on Schecter's website. Still a beautiful bass, and still I don't think, worth the asking price because of Schecter's low resale value.

Man I really dig the design. It's like an Aerodyne and a blacked out cowpoke combined. The cream binding on that otherwise blacked out bass is really sharp.
Schecter makes decent basses. I am not familiar with that one but I have played a few Schecter and owned one. I believe they have 16mm spacing at the bridge.
When two basses love each other very much, they get married. And, when the time is right, they go into the bedroom......

Is the second bass a deleo model? That's beautiful.
I think I'm going to take the plunge and get it since it's on sale on the website for $899. The neck is different from the model t and exactly what I'm looking for and if i dont like the pickups i can just swap them out. Plus I can't find any used Deleo's. I'll update you guys once it comes in!
