Mick Abrahams

That was my favorite iteration of the band, with him in it. That was The Band as far as I was concerned šŸ‘

In fact I bought their fist album as it was released because of the goofy cover back in ā€˜68 and was a fan ever since. Rest Mick šŸ˜”

It was one of the first Tull albums I bought, on recommendation by an uncle who was a bass player on the blues circuit in the 60s, so very much his sort of thing. I don't recall him saying he ever met Anderson and company, but rather Clapton, Mayall, Richards, et al. but he'd have liked to have been in a band with Abrahams in terms of music, although personality I don't know. Anyway, for me 'early on' was late 80s... Other than hearing a bit of Fleetwood Mac, it was and bits and pieces on the radio, it was my start in terms of blues. I did get to meet and chat with Abrahams in the 90s when he was booked by a friend to play at a venue I was later involved in the running of.
