Didn't wanna do it, but couldn't resist at these prices. Great experience with these bodies throughout the years. I have some parts sitting around...including a new unused pair of Aguilar jazz pups, so I pulled the trigger on a jazz body. So this body will probably sit with the pups until I get the other parts I need. LOL :beaver:

I bought a J in Sonic Blue. The body is finished, including Cavalier pups, shielding, VVT + pullout S1, pick guard. I won't mount the bridge until the neck shows up from USACG. I'll post assembly pictures when it is done.

I guess this solves my P-Bass dilemma. I wanted a swamp ash P bass body to pair with a Jazz bass neck. The price is right and I have a nice Vintage Vibe handwound pickup ready for it. I just need to buy a neck and a bridge.

Not sure if I'm reading this right. ..you bought an assembled mighty mite body from Stew Mac on closeout? Can you clarify? Or you bought a body a while back?

Sorry about the confusion. I bought the body with painted finish, and assembled it with parts I had or ordered.

AAAAHHHHHHhhh!!
Must resist!

Edit: Disappearing fast. Had to grab a black P body before they were gone.
I'll figure out the neck and electronics later.

Nice, it's a good problem to have.
You must have gotten the last one because there is only blue now in the P. What's weird is the white body was $126 earlier, now it all of a sudden spiked to $157?

I've been wanting to do a second all black with rosewood fingerboard P but then thought making an opposite in all white with maple fretboard might be cool. Went to swap around my cart and the white ones were gone.

Finding a neck worth using won't be fun on the wallet.

Do you like the Mighty Mite necks? I have a fret less one and it feels and plays great and I feel they are good value. Unless I can get a good deal on a used Warmoth neck, that's what I'll be going with. It's either those or a $400 USACG neck and I'm not gonna put *that* much into a part bass.

I haven't tried any aftermarket necks besides a warmoth rosewood fretless.

I'd like to get one with a rosewood board and vintage tinted finish.. AllParts is over $400.. Warmoth over $300.. ouch.

Stewmac has some Mighty Mite necks on sale. Musicians Friend also is offering 15% off accessories at the moment. It looks like MM necks are included in the sale. The coupon code is EXTRA15. [This invalid link has been removed]
Remember that Stew Mac charges for shipping, while MF doesnt. However, you may or may not be charged tax by either depending where you live. I get tax from MF and none from SM.
