I've always wrapped the cord around the strap at the bass end and a cab handle at the other. Micro or not, I like the piece of mind. Or I've seen some guys are putting the head on their pedal board.

Here's a question for micro-head users: do any of you use velcro or anything to secure the amp to the top of your cab? I'd be paranoid about tripping over my cable and pulling the head off the cab and onto the floor.

I got lucky the one time my amp vibrated off the top of this cab... I had my gigbag directly behind it so it had a soft place to land.

Now I keep the built-on dolly in the second (lower) position and have the speakon and power cable on opposite sides of one handle. It's in the extended position in this pic. My instrument cord gets looped around the top handle of the cab.

+1 If you are really worried about pulling the amp off with the cable, strongly consider wireless. Line 6 G30/50 ftw.

I use a Tech 2x12 cab (think Schroeder 1212, only smaller) driven by a Carvin BX500 head as my tiny/doom rig. The head, zoom b3, wireless, cables all fit in a big laptop bag I got at Wally world for $35. That rig is loud enough for most of what I do. Cab lacks a bit of low end, but it works.

I'm really impressed with the puma900 with the vl cabs, and the LMII isn't too shabby sounding either through them

between those heads, I'd guess that the Shuttlemax 9.2 would be a much better match up than the GK.

Got to try a couple different things a few days ago - so far the MB800 is leading the pack. Did not get to try a Puma yet, nor have I gotten to the Shuttle Max 9.2. The MB800 is the best I have heard to date with a single VL110.

Yet another case of "different strokes", I suppose...

How loud does it go? What I mean is, could you use it in a rock band with a fairly loud drummer?

Forgot to mention the schlep factor: bass over shoulder in gig bag, left hand takes the pedal board in its own gig bag (amp fits in gig bag pocket) and with my right hand I carry the stupidly light ampeg cab. Easiest equipment carry I have ever had. One trip from car to gig or jam session.

I did just that for the first time last Wednesday night in a power trio. True we had a stellar FOH, but the stage monitoring was all us. I have to say the single cab kept up nicely at about a 10am setting, even against one of those ridiculously loud Mesa Boogie combos and a full DW kit (that little cone was really moving!)

I'm thinking about getting a second NY121 for little larger gigs, like ones with no FOH. The combination of double the surface area and half the load (getting the full 500 watts out of the GK) should handle just about anything I need without having to pull out the "big gun" my Epifani UL2 410.

I really like it. Great lows for a small cab (to me anyway - I have little experience with all the current 210 cabs) Have not gigged with it yet though. I'll report when I do. My "big" amp is a early-90's Hartke 1155 combo - essentially a 3500 head with a aluminum cone 15 and a 5" tweeter. Just for grins I stacked the 210XL on top of it as an extension speaker. Looks a little weird as the 210 is wider than the combo. Sounded great, really loud, I doubt I'd ever do it except for an outdoor gig though.

The little SWR is amazing for it's size, but the speaker does tend to fart out if you turn it up really loud. I have been thinking of upgrading the speaker, but really no need since I have the other setup(s).
