[Minneapolis/MN Thread] Where's the "beer" thread icon?

810..

My first response is to walk.

Couple reasons..
1-810 is a bear to move. I don't care who makes it.. they still bite to move around.

2-It's too much volume for most venues. Geeze.. I was playing a 1-12 50watt amp (no PA support) in a 3,000 foot room last Saturday and requested to turn down.

I'm fortunate to have met you, for the material you're doing, I'd be searching for a light weight thud box (properly ported 1-15, 2x10 etc)..

PM me.. I'm thinning the herd and have a sweet cabinet that am willing to move to the right guy - I bought it site unseen from a store that looks out for me -- they took it in as trade in (not trying to push gear -- just help a pal out).... (if Rick is is first in line)

Oh.. back to your question.. $400 is a bit much for a dog of a cabinet (folks are moving toward smaller form factors).

I'd probably value it at $250.. then swear about having to move it.

Sorry if this is overly negative.

Timmy

Hey Timmy, have a question for you:

Is $400 a decent asking price for a Peavey 810TX? I must subconciously hate my bandmates to get an 810, but I gotta have it while my back can handle the weight. Here's a link to the music-go-round listing:

Will be working odd hours and roatating days so cant commit to a full-on band but want to meet folks and mabey do some sub work

Cheers!!

One hell of a nice guy, too.

KO

Kraigo -- honestly -- nicer than you? You guys do have the competition for who has better taste in craft brews.

(Kidding - kinda)

MN Worship Lead Needed (for New MN Guy -Rob) ---
Rob just moved from Texas. He's discovering how bad the contemporary circuit sucks here. Does anyone have a lead (or friends) for some cool congregations. He can do the legwork -- just isn't looking for a jive setup... seems versed in Brewster, Crowns etc. The "hotter" stuff is St. Louis Park West --- he's on the Woodbury/Mendota side.

I know of a few in Lakeville etc --- any leads in the Eastern Side? (Andy -- don't you dare go there)

Rob --please chime in with your TB handle.

Hey all, been off this thread for a while, but I'm back. Bummed I missed the last bass party, but if I can make it to a beer AND bass party then that should more than make up for it!

In other news, I have a Mesa/Boogie Buster 1x15 combo (all tube) up for sale in the classifieds, but I'll probably only have it for a couple more days (there are a few things I'd like to pick up locally, so I might just trade it in). I just wanted to give my Twin Cities brothers and sisters a chance at it first.

See you all at the next GTG!

Minneapolis needs a bump to the top; we haven't been talking enough!

Any plans for another GTG? I think March was brought up before; and I'm looking forward to it!!

My band has finally finished our 13 track CD in my basement "studio" and hopefully I'll have some music to give away by then.

The last GTG was a fantastic time, and I would make an extra-special effort to clear my calendar for another one. I got to meet lots of great people, play some cool basses and drink some tasty beers. That, in my book, is a great night.

As for a March GTG, I would simply request to not make it the weekend of the 13th, as I'll be on the road. I say this for purely selfish reasons.

I'd offer to host, but I have no appropriate venue.

I'm thinking of seeing Andy McClure play with Bad Sleep Well during the SuperBowl..

It's impressive enough that first time I saw him, instantly sold $1000 worth of gear to buy an EUB...

PM me if you'd like to go.. Bride. just had a kid so probably can't stay all night.

Playing around 9 at University and Snelling - St. Paul.
