I have a 3 day old at home..

Am planning on playing my cards right to see Andy's performance.

If you've ever considered an EUB or wondered what it's all about, worth the time. (think of it as a fretless upright).

I may bring my bow and make brother Andy use it.

Format is kind of like pop/rock with more operaish type volcals (high tenor - very good intonation).. andy is about 1/3 of the band.. 1/3 is guitar and drums..

I really don't mean to hijack this thread for some gig spam, but since there is already a discussion and perhaps some confusion...

Tonight is 9:00 at Big V's. Link in my footer.

Please resume your regularly scheduled Minnesota/Bass/Beer discussion.

hey you play in Eddie mac? I was in a band with Chris W a few years ago. Available Jones. maybe you saw us? S*it, we probably partied together at his house.

TimK.. played Guitar for Shelby's Voyage for a while.. .. but then again I know of about 5 guys that have claimed to have played.

Correction: played BASS in Shelby's voyage.:smug: I was the 1st one though. Original member, circa 2003. There have been several after me. That band is a revolving door now, but you gotta give Shelby credit... he keeps getting gigs and he keeps getting paid. He's doing something right. I still sub for him about once a year. He's a good guy.

He has had even more guitar players. I played mostly with Andy Fadness, from St Criox Falls.

May Get Together?

We'd kind of bantered about doing something (seminar, show etc).. the past few times it's been at my wife's warehouse.. Andy put up another post..

Tony Levin @ $25 may be about as good a deal as we can get.

What would you think about a hangtime then see one of the greats?

Thought would be that maybe we could meet before on the West Bank.. IF someone didn't want to go to the show (or had a gig etc) they could cut..

I'd suggest an after hang as I'm sure some of us would have questions about the performance.

Geeze.. I'd go out on a limb and see if I could get Tony to meet up with us (assuming he's staying overnight).. do have a few connections.

PS.. if anyone wants to catch Bad Sleep Well tomorrow evening.. PM me (before 2:30 p.m. Friday).. it is one of the more impressive bass gigs in town.

I've just discovered this thread. [subscribed] I'm sad I missed the last couple GTGs, but I'm excited at the possibility of the next one. The only bummer is I'm one of those lame "works until 8pm each weeknight" types. Weekends are best for me.

For those who are not jr. google-investigators such as myself, I assume airhead is talking about Levin's show with Stick Men at the Cedar Cultural Center, May 16 (advance tix are $25).

If that falls through and we end up doing a gear gathering, I could bring the elusive GK MB212 that I received in the mail a couple weeks ago. I have a bunch of pedals and a couple basses as well, but nothing out of the ordinary.
