MIRACLE NEEDED

Words just cannot describe our day. The love and encouragement have been amazing. I am humbled by all the wonderful lives that Missy has touched throughout the years and the outpouring of emotion has been incredible.

As I am typing this Missy lays beside me in her bed resting comfortably much like she has all day. For those of you who have not found out by other channels, we will not be using hospice during these final days. We are just going to stay here at the hospital where the best staff we have known continues to insure that Missy stays as comfortable as possible. Missy thankfully continues to progress faster than they originally estimated and I was informed a short time ago that we will not be pursuing the catheter that they were contemplating putting in to drain the fluid from around her lungs. That is no longer the chief area of concern as the that is now her belly area for which there is no fix. My wife will remain comfortable and intact for the remainder of her days. She deserves that and so much more so I readily agreed with the doctors advice.

I noticed several times during the day Missy's breathing would change at the sound of someones voice or there would be a minor reaction in her facial expression that told me she was aware of what was going on around her and everyone that came to see her. She always drew strength from all of her friends and you continue to provide her strength during these final few days and I cannot thank you enough. There have been more prayers answered over the past few days than I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing and he continues to keep Missy safe and secure under his wing by providing the best care possible. As I've said before, I gave up believing in coincidence long ago and see it for what it truly is, God's love providing guidance, answers, and miracles on a daily basis and that is where I find the power to smile at least for a little while every day. I reflect at the end of each day about all of the people that came by, called, and sent messages and it is awe inspiring the network of support that my family feels.

My thoughts cannot help but to turn to all of you that are reading this and continue to carry on the fight. There is no doubt that Missy would not want any of you to be discouraged but to instead draw strength from her as she will soon be beside all of you urging you along through your own battles. My hope is that you can hear her as clearly as I have all of these wonderful years and will continue to for the rest of my days until I can once again hold her in heaven. We love you all.

Love Always,

Missy, Brian, and Braden

I hope she managed to finish her birthday card project. That will give her boy and probably her husband so much comfort in the years to come.

That's such an awesome idea. A physical reminder every year that love continues even when we can't.

RIP Missy.

Jody,
I just saw the post. Well Missy doesnt need our prayers now... she is in a better place, but will continue to pray for the family as they start a new journey without her.
Keep us posted on their progress, please.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone. It seems that, like some have said, prayers were being answered, and miracles were happening all along.

Here's Brian's latest journal entry:

At 4 a.m. this morning heaven became an even better place and Missy won her battle against cancer because she is finally free of it forever. I was awake and with her and it was the most peaceful time she has had in such a great while. Know that there was no suffering as my biggest prayer was answered in the most gracious way. Thank you all for all that you have done over the past four years to provide my family with such love, support, and light that showed us HIS path through this wonderful journey. We love you all.

Love Always,

Angel Missy, Brian, and Braden
