Mariners’ Paxton throws a No Hitter!

I thought it was pretty cool that the crowd here in Toronto gave him a standing ovation throughout the ninth inning. Paxton showing off that big Maple Leaf was awesome!

First year an MLB no-hitter was thrown in Canada, US, and Mexico.
Wow, just heard about this.
- The umpires were given a lineup card with Asdrubal Cabrera batting second, and Flores third. Reds manager Jim Riggleman waited until Cabrera reached base to alert the crew. A little savvy gamesmanship on his part.
- Asdrubal Cabrera's double, meanwhile, is wiped off the books completely. The official scoring is a putout to the catcher.

The Mariners just won another series. Win one, lose one, win a couple, lose one... Too bad they dropped the series with the Angels. They would be a half game back instead of a game and a half. But, that's still pretty good from a Mariners fan's perspective. They either get pounded or they are stellar, but instead of streaks, they are going hot and cold from game to game. Is that an improvement?

Rooting for the Mets is like playing golf. Just when you are ready to toss everything and give up, they do what they did last night. Terrible losing streak, eight innings where they couldn't do +&$@$&, then two HRs in the ninth to actually win a game. It's a sickness, I tell you.
Disappointed in the Rockies last night. They had a comfortable lead on the Brewers and lost it in the 8th and 9th. Lost in an extra inning.
Hope they do better when we're at the game tomorrow for Mom's day.
