MLB 2018

It took me a while to find it...

but I am dressed appropriately...for a Braves fan.

That’s more than I can say for the Mets & Phils! :roflmao:
I had forgotten that the 7 train went to Shea. It's been more than 30 years, so no wonder. I don't remember which train went over the 59th Street Bridge to Long Island City, where the taxi garage I worked out of in 1982 was. Riding the train at 3 am was pretty routine. It sounds scary, but it was guys going to work.

The Cubs set a dubious record today. They scored one run in four straight games, all on solo homers. All against the Pirates, who apparently have a rotation full of Cy Young candidates now.:rollno: I guess I should be glad Chicago managed to pull out the first two with some fantastic pitching. Hamels has been on fire so far.

OH HELL!
My Braves are on the way to PNC Park!

(The prettiest park in the Majors...)

Wait...

What?!!

Cubs have won six in a row since acquiring Daniel Murphy (amazing no one else picked him up). They're 4.5 games ahead of the Cards and 5 in front of the Brewers. But this is no time to relax. They have no more days off until Sept. 13! The makeups are coming. They play two more vs. the Mets at Wrigley, then the next day they play one game in Atlanta, then the day after that they start a series in Philly! Maddon's going with a six-man rotation during this stretch, which makes sense but also means fewer starts for Lester and Hamels.

Yeah, I was a little surprised, but most teams either had a decent second baseman, or aren't really going for it this year (Braves, Phil's) enough to take on the contract, and screw up their chemistry.

I know he's not a good defender, but that .300 career average (and he's hitting that again this year) makes him pretty valuable for a lot of teams, IMO. He's also a good fit for the Cubs right now since both Bryant and Russell are out.

The Rays seem to have a pretty-to-damn-good starter at almost every position...and several horses on the mound (as well as a couple a Mooses in the bullpen!)!
I wouldn’t wanna play them 18 times a year!
‘Smatter a fact, I’m looking forward to going from the AL East to the AL Central when it comes time for inter-League play next year...(a no brainer).

A pair of hour-long rain delays last night into this morning.
I invested my time wisely, learning more about the Phitins.
They beat the Natinals while the Braves lost to the Rays.
Thanks MLB Network!
