MLB 2018

Cubs, 5-4!
A Really well-played game!
Excellent defense all around...Tommy LaStella’s HR was the difference.

I am So Taken with this team!

That was a heck of a game, good sir. Winning on a homer by LaStella--his last one was Aug. 26 of last year! That's hitting the lottery right there.:D

OK...
Apparently I wasn’t the Only person in the Universe Of Sports who didn’t see Foltsy’s ‘attempt to deceive’ the batter...or the runners, either.

Water under the bridge...Still, I’m happy to not be sitting on the ‘wasn’t paying attention’ bench all by myself.

Pirates Catcher...Francisco Cervelli...gets hit Right in his testicular region...Can’t seem to catch his breath...Umpire sees it and buys him as much time as possible

What is it with these catchers not wearing cups? Same thing when Molina got his grapes crushed.

PLAY BALL (at noon!)

Ronald Acuña, Jr. leads off the game with a Big Fly, setting a franchise (going back to 1876) record for such a feat!

My Guy...Ender Inciarte...slaps a stand up triple...Nick Markakis drives him in.

2-0 Braves over the Saux after 1!

This ‘retirement thing’ is workin’ out! ✌❤️⚾

They do wear cups. If not, they would be in the hospital after taking a direct shot from a 90 mph fastball. It still hurts.

Molina said he wasn't wearing a cup. He WAS in the hospital - he needed surgery.

By the way, Todd Fraizer admits to some trickery. I have no issue with it - no different than a player "selling" a HBP.

I’d be wearing a cup if I was sitting in the first few rows down the foul lines!! ;)

(‘course, I’ll have to hit the lottery before I can afford Those tickets...)
I have never heard of a catcher not wearing a cup! Reminds of an old roommate at Arizona State; he was trying to walk-on as an infielder and was always saying how he had never been hit by a ground ball.
Well, one day, he came limping into the room. I asked him if he had some type of leg injury. All he could say was, 'ground ball took a bad hop and got me!' I didn't make fun of him since he was limping for a good two weeks but the other two roommates did!
