MLB 2018

Wins is a totally useless statistic when it comes to pitchers. Look at Jacob deGrom this year. 1.77 ERA, 11.2 K/9, 0.938 WHIP. He should be in the running for NL Cy Young. The most earned runs he has given up this year is 4, and he did that once. He gave up 3 earned runs five times. That means he gave up 2 or fewer earned runs in 25 starts this year. What's his record? 9-9.

He is 0-3 when giving up 3 earned runs. He is 9-6 when giving up 2 or fewer runs. He is 3-0 in 8 starts without giving up an earned run. He only has 1 win when giving up 2 or more earned runs. The more I look at these stats, the more amazed I am.
Can’t argue with any of that.

Brewers clinch a post season birth sweeping the Cards in St Louis! Wow! Yelich ought to be NL MVP. He continues to amaze. He walked 5 times tonight non of those intentional walks. Even Ueker is in the visiting Clubhouse celebrating with the team! They are clicking on all cylinders at the right time.

Happy For Ya, Mate!!

What a weird day in baseball yesterday!!!

The Sox and Orioles scored a total of THIRTY FIVE runs in only TWO GAMES!
(Double header)

The team that just broke a franchise record for most wins against the team that just broke the MLB record for losses went at it.

Sox won the day game 19-3.

Orioles won the night game 10-3.

What??? o_O

And they helped the Cubs clinch a playoff spot as well! Congrats Bob, the Brewers have been a very worthy opponent this year. The division race should go right down to the wire.

Yelich should be the favorite right now for MVP, but I think it's close enough that Baez could be right there with him if he has a great last four games.

Been looking forward to a possible Dodgers Cubs series. After last night debacle, I’m getting worried.

As an NL East fan, I Loved watching him turn into an MVP candidate over the last five years!
We saw the Brewers twice this past May.
The KC fans Showered Lorenzo Cain with Love!
Yelich & Cain!
Hot Damn!

I’ll be pulling for the Brewers in the 1 game crapshoot.

It ought to be best of 3!

Don’t ask me where these numbers come from. I’ll just say “The Intrawebs!”.

Cubs win! Lester clearly didn’t have his best stuff, but he ground his way through six shutout innings and 108 pitches.

Big win, but they might still need to sweep to win the division.
