Interesting fact I just became aware of. Dodger manager, Dave Roberts, use to play outfield for the Red Sox. Who would have ever thought that he would return to Boston as an opposing manager in the World Series.

Yessir. He stole second base in game 4 of what became the epic flop by the Yuckees in 04Interesting fact I just became aware of. Dodger manager, Dave Roberts, use to play outfield for the Red Sox. Who would have ever thought that he would return to Boston as an opposing manager in the World Series.
And what a huge play that was. Without the steal, Boston still needs one more hit to tie it up. I say they would have been swept. And what then? Would they even have gone on to win the later titles, or would the team have been broken up? Does Theo still become Theo? And would he have then been able to go on to build the Cubs into champs as well? We'll never know.Yessir. He stole second base in game 4 of what became the epic flop by the Yuckees in 04

Sluggers versus the hitters. Should be interesting.
I missed the pre game. What kind of reaction did Roberts get?
Missed that as well. But he is wearing blue sox
Pretty compelling game. October at its best. Go Dodgers!I was straightening my jam room for rehearsal tomorrow night during pregame. So I missed it too.
This kind of baseball in the first half of the first game is nuts! They are going to scrap it out until the last pitch, aren't they? Maybe I won't have a heart attack by then.![]()
You misspelled Red SoxPretty compelling game. October at its best. Go Dodgers!
OK baseball fans, help me out. Commentator and retired pitcher John Smoltz says that MLB teams should "go back to playing the same schedule". What does that mean? Same schedule as what? Here's the article, where he has a lot more recommendations:
