I watched them all year long...a NL East thing...but I didn’t expect This!
why folks gotta be this way? "...[One] could clearly hear "**** you Springer" chants in center field, throwing bottles and souvenir baseballs at Reddick in right and as you pointed out, cheering Bregman getting hit."
Was it Philadelphia where the referee got conked by a thrown beer bottle? Is this a N.E. thing?

Fans in the northeast tend to be more "hardcore", and Yankee and Philadelphia fans tend to be among the worst. While.I don't do it, I can deal with booing, but there is no reason to swear or act out in this way.
I'm really surprised-shocked, even-that Yankee 'fans' would act that way.

It's known that if you go to a Yankee game, you don't wear the uniform of the opponent if you want to get it home clean and in one piece.
I think the best fans I've ever seen was at Wrigley. Yeah, they would razz opponents, but always in good spirits. I was at a game about a decade ago where before the game, they had a bunch of Little League diamonds set up in the outfield facing the bleachers, with a number of kids' teams playing. The fans (I'm sure some already liquored up) were cheering the kids, and when a couple of them hit home runs up into the bleachers, they threw the ball back, just like they would in the regular games.
Go Nats, who would have took bets that a team 19-31 early in the season would be in the WS..with a lineup consisting of some old men (4-5 players at 32-36) and Fernando Rodney at 42?

I feel sorry for Sabathia. Dude is a warrior - that's not how to end a career. Never mind he came in and did his job. With AS A defense, he would have gotten them out of the inning with no runs.

As do we. To be honest, we've enjoyed minor league games even more than major league games. Ouch, yeah, that would stink.

I love MiLB games. My wife and I try to get to 2-3, maybe 4 a season. Great seats (first row right behind first bass next to the home dugout), very reasonable pricing and the ballpark is a 15-20 minute drive from our house.
The Rivercats are a great team to cheer for. We love them here in Sacramento.
We found a Braves affiliate team in Kissimmee last season. Got to a few games this season. City kicked them out to build a new facility for soccer*. Team is moving about 100 miles away. Booo.
