And baseball is a whole season of agony. And I love every moment of it.
Before last October 31, anyone around here who'd been at it for any length considered themselves a "long suffering Rangers fan".
I was long suffering from 1972 when the franchise played its first home series.

I must say, the different streaming services are a P.I.A. I have the MLB ticket, as well as SNY, the Mets regional network, but tonight's game is on AppleTV, so I won't be seeing it.
Yeah the AppleTV games are a pain. At least there's always AM radio when you can't get a game on TV
The YouTube Game-of-the-Week thing from a few years back was more accessible. I watched some of those. AppleTV requires me to jump through a couple more hoops to watch a game

Great outing from rookie pitcher Kyle Harrison last night. He threw six innings of shut out ball with seven strikeouts and no walks. He did allow five hits but no one scored. Coming into the season it was taken for granted that young catcher Patrick Bailey is all defense but not much with a bat. The Giants went out and got Tom Murphy as a back up catcher to provide some pop at the catcher's position. He had a slow start behind the plate but is back to calling great games and throwing out potential base stealers. What is a pleasant surprise is huge improvement with a bat. After a slow start he is now batting .207 with three home runs.
The Giants are starting to come around they are now third place at 13 wins 14 losses. Four games behind the first place Dodgers. The season is still very young.

My Blue Jays are on a four-game losing streak. It will be five when today's game is done 
Might as well make it six, because I don't see them beating L.A. tomorrow either One or two weeks of really good baseball would turn things around. But right now it's hard to have much confidence in this very frustrating team!

After a dismal losing home stand, Dodger Bats have finally come alive from the start of this current road trip. So far, Dodger runs total 43 and opponents just 8 runs over the past six games. Starting pitching and the bullpen have started to settle in too. Hoping they can keep it up.

Jordan Hicks pitches six innings, gives up one run, strikes out nine and issues and no walks. The bullpen gave up three runs off of two homers in the 10th. Pirates win 4 to 3. 
They looked awful the prior week. This week was great. Glasnow has been awesome.

I'm watching the Brewer game and just saw a new way to break up a double play. When sliding, stick your hand up as high as you can, especially if you're wearing one of those oven mitts, right into the throwing lane. It helps if you're 6'7. The umps came together and called it good. Not reviewable.

Mark Vientos was brought up by the Mets for a few days while another player was on bereavement leave. Today he went 2 for 2, including an 11th inning game winning home run. You should have seen his face when he crossed home.

I'm getting tired of the umps. The Brewers had runners on second and third, one out. Batter strikes out on a wild pitch, ends up on first and the tying run scores in the bottom of the 9th. Batter called out on interference because the backswing hit the catcher and the runner gets sent back to third. What? I have seen the catcher get hit by the backswing many times before, but I've never seen the batter called out.
