MLB 2024

Pretty ugly result for the Jays today  They put up five runs in the top of the 8th to take a late lead. The ‘pen then allowed the Tigers to tie it in the bottom of the inning, and win it in the bottom of the 9th. Ugh.

The Mets turned the tables on the Giants on Sunday to come back and win in the 9th. WHAT! They lost a game! :D Started a tough home series today, first taking on the league leading Phillies and then the Yankees. They beat the Phils by 8-4, mostly thanks to their bullpen and their bats. Still not liking Snell, he only pitched four innings and allowed four runs. Tomorrow they have scheduled someone named TBD to pitch. That makes me nervous :wideyed:

Giants sent Jorge Soler to Atlanta for some prospects. The idea is he is going to replace Acuna, I can't see that happening A gain for the Giants, he has a .212 batting average this year so far. He has some home runs but also lots of strike outs. Hope he does better in Atlanta but not good enough to come back and haunt the Giants.

The Giants win their fourth straight comeback game. I may be getting a bit of a chip on my shoulder about MLB.com. Every time I read about another Giants come from behind on MLB.Com the story is always about how the other team blew it, never gives credit to the Giants and seldom even mentions them. No mention of the Giants winning eight of their last ten games either. Why I oughta ...
Welcome to being a Mariners fan.

Rangers broke a 6 game slump with a 6-2 win over the Twins today.

One third of the way through the season and the Rangers are only 3 games behind 1st place in the AL West.

Thankful it's not the AL East or Central division.
They are in the AL worst. The good thing as far as I'm concerned is that Julio Rodriguez, who has always been a slow starter, seems to be coming alive now. The Mariners are 3-1/2 games up and their best player is finally acting like their best player. They have been hitting the ball pretty hard, but right at people lately. A four game losing streak had me pretty unhappy, but the good thing is that Texas and Houston jumped right on the same loss train with them. Whoever wins the west will be the only team from that division in the playoffs unless something drastic happens. Which will because it's baseball.
