MLB 2025

Stupid Jays. :banghead:
(certified Yankee hater)
I knew there was a reason I like you.

The Yankees have to be buried face down. That way, when they try to dig out from the hole, they just go deeper. On the other hand, if the Yankees beat the Jays, I'm pretty sure it gives the Mariners home field advantage if they get past the Tigers (big if - I'm a well trained Mariners fan). Also, the more those teams beat each other up, the less rested they will be going into the ALCS. All these things to think about and scheme over. Except that Miller is going for the Mariners tonight. He's not exactly an ace.

why is the pole called the "foul pole" and not the fair pole? Hitting it should mean it's foul not fair, right? lol

My youngest son, also a baseball nut, gave me a very nerdy but interesting book for Christmas last year on the history of the Rules of Baseball. Why 3 strikes? Why 4 balls? and so on. And they detailed just why, from antiquity, it is called the foul line and foul pole, when, in fact both are in fair territory. I guess I'm glad I know. But always a good one for discussion.

All that said, Judge did an amazing job turning on that ball and a) not breaking his bat and b) getting enough wood on it to carry to far . I'm glad I saw it live.
