These Blue Jays... 😣 After a feel-good sweep of the Red Sox and then a split in a two-gamer at Wrigley, they came home and went 1-6 against Houston and Texas. The losing streak is at 6 games and counting. Tonight they begin a three-game series against the Mets in Toronto. The Mets aren't exactly lighting the world on fire here in June, but I won't be shocked to see them pick up a few wins in Toronto. Who knows, maybe these teams will discover a way for them both to lose all three games! 🤣

Getting frustrated with the SFGiants. Not just their poor playing but the way management responds. Loved Buster Posey as a player but so far he seems to be over his head as President of Baseball Operations. He jumped into it pretty quick without a lot of seasoning in management. Hopefully he will get better as he continues.

Well, it goes beyond him. There are people up and down the food chain making money on this guy. You do a favor once and you're into these guys for life.
He has enough money for life, but the characters he's in bed with now don't think so. @joeLowB covered it too, greed. For athletes and those in their inner circle, there will never be enough money. Why else is this kid from Japan who just posted expected to sign a nine figure contract? We try to ignore it by watching the game between the lines, but here we are, the greed is on display on the field now too.

A bats are booming in Pittsburgh, “the LumberCompany” has returned, defensively operating at B+ average, but at this point the team is mired in mediocrity even with two of the best starting pitchers in Baseball. Opponents now that the starting pitchers are on a pitch count, not just a game pitch count, but a season long pitch count. So the opposing strategy is fouling off as many balls as possible surviving Paul Skenes, and just start hitting for real when the collection of the worst bull pen in history takes over.

And of course, the vaunted GM Cherington as usual is in his rush to do nothing p!ssing away another season of one of the best pitchers in the game.

The Rockies are much more interesting this year, and they're winning more games. We're going to the Rockies-SF Giants game Friday night at 6:10 PM - they do a big fireworks show after the games on the 3rd and 4th! It's

Only problem is that it's going to be 95-97 degrees and we have very good seats that will be in full sunshine. (Good news/bad news.)

Gotta hydrate, may have to augment beer slightly with non-alcoholic stuff.
