Heh--that "translucent paint" on the sixer is nothing more than unfinished basswood.

The 5 string prototype next to it is ash, though.

Oh, and saxnbass--did you get EB's okay before you leeched their prototype pictures and used their bandwidth to post them here as opposed to hosting them somewhere else?

I dunno. Still looks like a Bongo to me. And that doofy headstock looks even sillier on a 6-er.

but I've never liked Bongoes, so I'm a little biased...

i never liked bongos until i saw a pic of an all black one... that caught my attention.... then i played one in gc.... DROOL!


if the 6ers are good... that'll be my dropping into both the world of bongos and the world of 6

Well I guess they should keep it like that. I much prefer the natural look. Thought basswood was browner than that though.
