Wife says this one stays. It was a custom order for me from the guys at Roscoe. They did some nice little things with some laminate layers and stuff and made an amazing bass.

I had my first recording session with the MP Jazz V today! I recorded direct through my GB Streamliner 900 and the tone was HUGE!!! I will post some sound clips when they are available to me.

Fender knocked it out of the park with this bass! I wouldn't be surprised if they up the price on this one.... That is of course unless they are planning an American Deluxe model like the Am Deluxe Dimension bass on Ebay that i saw in another thread. Either way, this is one great sounding, built, and overall well conceived bass!

Iv changed String Retainer of my Modern Player JB V, by Hipshot !! like Marcus V...

I will now change the plastic ivory nut, but USA Nut JB V. from the same order..

Cheaper modification ! more solid and strong..

after hipshot string retainer, i will have a new update coming for my MP V, i change tuning machines, for the short version of Squier JB V. iv order a cheaper kit of 5 mechanics, really more short size, so the head will look better ! picture of the update in few days.

Not a sniff! Tried some star jumps with mine on, and it barely shifted.

The weight doesn't bother me, luckily. It's definitely a fair bit heavier than my Jaguar, but the way it balances makes it feel like the more comfortable instrument. May pick up a thicker or more padded strap or something in time, but I'm in no rush.

Currently trying out the neck humbucker pick up solo'd, with the tone rolled off about half way, and getting a real nice meaty sound. Looking forward to seeing how that sits in the band mix. My main concern with this bass is choosing what kind of tone to settle on, at the moment.

The finish is starting to gloss up a tad where my arm sits, which is very comfortable. I'm not usually a sunburst fan but this 2-tone still looks great to me.
