Funny thing is that I checked out the sellers profile and found he was a sensei in Georgia....saw his face, name, and that he used to be a Modulus dealer....and then it hit me....I traded a Fender Hwy 1 P bass plus some cash to him for a NICE 4 string Modulus Fretless a few years ago...but that was a Craigslist deal...we met halfway. That bass was very nice.

Dood, I would've done the same thing. I am keeping fingers crossed that JP will grab the football and run with it going forward.....
It came in today. Pretty awesome! Unfortunately it is going to stay in the box until I move to Asheville and set up my music room.
I think if JP starts building basses I will buy one.

I have one...it's pleather. It came with a non-Modulus I bought on the bay. It's cool because it has the Modulus logo but it's kind of a crappy gig bag. Thinly padded and falling apart.

I have one question about cleaning the neck:
Does your Phenolic fingerboard get this texture after cleaning it with a cloth and water, that is a little hot?
Or, is it just me that uses the wrong method?
Yes I know that I have brought this up earlier on the third mob, but I couldn't really believe that some of you guys use WD-40. If I am right, that's some stuff you use to remove stain with, of your bicycle for example??

Can't recall my fretboard looking like that but I use WD-40; that's what Modulus recommended to use for phenolic boards.
Is WD-40 really a good choice, isn't it a bit toxic? (And, "Avoid contact with skin" from their own materials safety declaration)
That's what I was told to use when I contacted Modulus (that's been some time ago). Never had any kind of adverse reaction to it but I can't say that I really get any on me to begin with. I use a toothbrush and/or microfiber cloth and it works just fine.
Normally I just use the microfiber cloth to wipe away any excess after using a toothbrush. But there have been occasions where I've just used a cloth that has a soft side and an abrasive side.

haha. And it looks better? I have never cleaned my fretboard other than just wiping it with a cloth...need to do that I guess.
