I am back into the fold with the purchase of used 1996 Q6 with EMG's. I am thinking about sending it to Mooradian Guitars to have made into a lined fretless. And stringing it ABEADG. Thoughts anyone? I got a great deal on it from GC. And besides a couple of minor issues(scratchy pots, a well repaired ding on the middle back of the neck and some body wear from being played) it's in good shape. How are the necks on the 2006 per truss models?

From what I know usually the last # of the serial # dictates the date it was made which would make this a 96. Please correct me if I am wrong.
The serial number on my bass which I know was made '95 is 952190, so unless they used a 5 year old neck and the serial number refers to the neck rather than the whole bass, then I have to think it's the two first digits that show the year of the build.
