Modulus Mob

The Q6 Stormtrooper I had is back at GC in Manchester CT if anyone is interested in it. But beware it has a preamp pop issue. Still a good deal but I don't have the time or money to deal with it.

What list?
The ebay listing

It may have been a private listing or something... Definitely not one for public consumption in my opinion

But i digress... I love my tbx so much. I have been playing a fender p bass for the last year so its definitely taking some getting used to, but wow. I have owned some mods in the past and this one is a whole different animal.

Still trying to figure out the knobs though. Looks like master volume, blend, bass, treble, and then there was a fifth dual knob added that seems to maybe sweep mids on the top and bass on the bottom? Weird but awesome

Have been thinking about it for some time but finally putting my plan in action now that I have the cash. Going to make some big changes to my walnut 07 Q6F. I want to make it more unique. I have changed it up a lot as it started as a QW5F which I bought in 2009 for $1300 brand new in what I refer to as the deal of a lifetime. The guy I bought it from paid $3200 at ABG for it. There's actually the same used bass on planet bass going for $3600 I think right now. Anyways, going to be an amazing transformation and quite possibly the best looking unlined fretless on earth when complete. I cannot wait. :)

Kind of a NBD...

I finally finished the current iteration of my Franken-VJ. The last version wasn't bad but it was annoyingly heavy, pushing 10 pounds. I swapped the old body out for one from Guitarfetsh. I took a bit of effort to get it to work but it's turned out to be my lightest (7.5 lbs) and best sustaining bass!

What is strange this person named Lalo at this thread on Talkbass is talking about the same exact TBX bass that was recently sold on Ebay

Hi
I am the strange Lalo Garcia! I bought the bass in eBay but I did not know whether to keep it or sell it... I am NOT selling it after all! I have 3 TBX and they are just extraordinary! I already posted for sale today my Bolt-On Quantum 5; a great bass also....but I truly prefer the thickness and articulation of the TBX. I think the fact that the neck is hollow and the fact that it runs trhu the body makes for a very special resonance; it is almost like a Tube amp...by the way the 1989 I just bought in Ebay is a TBX model for sure! My 1988 Neckthrough is NOT a TBX! That one (the 1988) has the same body shape as the one red one with 3 Alembic pickups posted here on TB, but this 1989 I just bought is surely a TBX ...you can tell by looking at where the body meets the neck... on a TBX they meet at the 19th fret on the bass side and 22th fret on the treble side (Mike Tobias designed this neck joint for Modulus in 1989); on a NON TBX bass the neck meets the body at the 22nd fret for on both sides of the neck....They both sound exactly the same to my ears though....
