Modulus Mob

Hey Mike, I am in the Northeast (Cape Cod, MA) and have 3 Modulus basses that you can try anytime. Shoot me a message if you like. Cheers.
Thanks!! I may very well take you up on this offer soon. Unfortunately I'm in Boston and I don't have a car. But I'm moving to Malden in September (hopefully) and I will have my car then, and I'd love to try out some of your basses. I'll be in touch!

No problem man. I played it. Its in great shape. Balances real well. It made me start looking for a Flea/Funk Unlimited. Good luck!!
I'd like to give a huge HUGE thank you to this man right here. Steve (I assume that's your name--I apologize if it's not) was nice enough to inform me about a Quantum 5 for sale in Ohio. Because of this, today I went ahead and purchased my first Modulus Bass. It should be here in a few days. I can't tell you guys how excited I am. I will post pictures soon. Thank you so much Steve. I've been on the look out for a Q5 for so long now, and this was the first one that I came across that was both affordable and in wonderful condition. It really means a lot to me. I wish I could do something more than just write a thank you post.

Grats! If you want a mob # just pm me and post a pic when you hVe a chance.

Thanks guys! I've been playing this thing all day. Can't seem to put her down. Such an incredible instrument. Since I am new to the Modulus Q5, I just had a few questions:

First one is probably stupid, but I want to make sure I have my facts straight--The knobs are Volume, Pickup blend, Mid Sweep?(this is the one I'm not sure of), and then treble (top) and Bass (bottom)? Is that correct?

Secondly, do you need to approach truss rod adjustments a bit differently since you're not dealing with wood? Or is it essentially the same?

Thanks for all the help guys.

I can't speak to the control layout, but with regards to the truss rod on my Flea, I found that it really doesn't need to be adjusted at all other than the initial setup. That said, I have also found that the neck is actually a little more sensitive to adjusting the truss rod, so I would just tweak it a little at a time. When I received mine, it was almost flat, 1/8 turn yielded .008" relief, which is where I like it. Hope that helps.
