Modulus Mob

Finally can join the club and take a number after drooling over these since the late 90's. Picked up a 98' Q5 quilt red (cherry whatever you want to call it) in near mint condition. Original modulus case and even had the manual. This thing sounds amazing and plays like butter, I have never found this much GAS relief in my life. Feel bad for the others in the stable that won't get played much now. Sorry, pics are low quality

Nice! I'm running out the door so PM me for your #.

Congrats orlim, slamming bass!

I'm really excited to join the club too - I've wanted to custom order a Mod or two for a few years, but for whatever reason didn't get around to it...
Needless to say, panic set in when I'd heard they were closed.

Fortunately I picked up a couple of beauties this year - an '02 VJ4 (my main one), and a '00 Genesis 5. Both are in really good condition, and came with their OHSC.
(Not as epic as some of the other finishes on here, but they're great just the same!!)

I love them, but if anything it's worsened my GAS... if anyone has a sparkly blue FB4 I will happily take it off your hands :)

Ok y'all, it took two tries to become a successful Modulus owner but here I am and I want a number, dagnabbit!! :)

My first try was about a year ago. I won a TBX on Fleabay for what I thought was a good deal. Unfortunately, when I received it, it was more suited to archery than music. The non-truss rod neck was THAT bowed!! Luckily the seller was 1st rate and took it back AND paid for the shipping so I was out nothing! Fast forward to now: Here's my new to me 1999 Q5 20th anniversary edition that I got yesterday from awesome, fellow TB'er daltontomlinson. It has Lane Poor pickups and an Aguilar OP-3 preamp. The neck is dead nuts straight and after a little action tweaking to my preferences, it plays like a dream! It sounded great through one of my little practice amps at home but tonight, it gets the full band rehearsal treatment. Can't wait!!

Hey friends,

I realize this is a long shot, but I'm desperate. I'm looking to buy a Quantum 5 and I'm having very little luck finding one. If anybody can steer me in the direction of somebody looking to sell, that would be great. I also have to admit, I've never actually had the pleasure of playing a Modulus, but I really want to give one a try. If anybody living in Northeast would be willing to let me plays theres for a bit, I'd really appreciate it. I'd be happy to compensate you (I'd be happy to buy you some beers, or dinner or something). I just can't seem to get my hands on one of these beauties anywhere near me and I'm so very interested in trying em out. Please let me know if you can help somehow. Much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Hey Mike I was just at the GC in Dayton Ohio and they had one. I believe it was the Quantam 5. It played great and sounded even better. It was in good shape. I dont play fivers otherwise I would have been all over it.

Hey Mike,
I'm in the Virginia area. If you are around here anytime let me know and you can come play my moduli.

Thank you to everyone who has extended the offer to let me come try out their bass. I really appreciate it--gotta love how friendly this community is. If I'm ever in your neck of the woods, I'll definitely get in touch. In the meantime, I came across this new listing on ebay today. What do you fellas think?

Thanks for the heads up! I just called them and they said that it's still in stock. I will definitely be pursuing this bass. It looks beautiful. And I'm sure it plays wonderfully. Thank you so much for the help.
