Regarding the Q4 on eBay now: Buyer may want to budget for the re-gluing of the fingerboard, the probable re-spray of the neck's clear coat, and be willing to deal with why it happened to begin with...truss rod issue, perhaps.

It's funny because I really never appreciated their tone in my hands (felt great however) but considering that three of my favorite bands have bass players that play them makes me feel kind of nostalgic for them now.

Thanks for the URL, agree, just a glue job probably fixing symptom not cause, would hate to see
what the truss rod issue is. I know so many Modulus folks who had to send back to
factory or have serious work done <sigh>, worth it if you score a good bass but a
PITA if not

Finally can join the club and take a number after drooling over these since the late 90's. Picked up a 98' Q5 quilt red (cherry whatever you want to call it) in near mint condition. Original modulus case and even had the manual. This thing sounds amazing and plays like butter, I have never found this much GAS relief in my life. Feel bad for the others in the stable that won't get played much now. Sorry, pics are low quality
