There's currently 2 Flea 4's, one silver sparkle, on the 'bay if anyone is looking.

Also, there's a genesis neck vj, in a plum metallic color that the seller claims is "all original", but it has hipshot ultralite tuners and a string thru body bridge, neither of which I have ever seen stock on a modulus. Am I right or wrong?

That could be a VJ replacement neck. You could buy the neck alone without tuners or a body. Put it on anything.. I have one myself. It is on a 1 piece White Korina arch top Warmoth Dinky P body.. Awesome neck, but that is very possible that it is "All Original" but it would still be a frankenstein

Nice looking bass. The pups have poles....most I have seen have Barts with no poles....not sure. That would look great next to my blue/purple Q5.

Followed this thread forever, but never posted. For your consideration wanted to share the upgrades I've made to my q5. Always had a love hate relationship with the emg pickups and electronics that came stock with it, and last week I had finally had enough. Installed a matched set of lane poors and audere 4 band classic preamp. Totally blown away. So warm, but so aggressive, couldn't be happier. Has anyone else had any experience with auderes in a modulus?

Not in a Modulus ( I have Bart's) but I installed an Audere on my JBass and it sounds great !
