I mean....I get it. Probably not too many scammers selling a Modulus bass. Not to say there aren't. I have shipped basses I sold on CL before but I don't prefer to do it.

So you guys may have seen that I've been looking for a Flea 4 - specifically in a flake finish...
Well, dreams came true today, one just arrived at my house!
I'd been furiously scouring the net to try to find one, and eventually discovered a great guy on a forum that mentioned he was selling a blue one from 2007. After taking our time to work out the details (getting the bass from the USA to Aus - and the cash to the USA - safely), we finally did the transaction last weekend, and now here it is!!
Have only had about half an hour to scope it out so far, but the signs are great. Will be looking forward to road testing it at a gig on Saturday. The bass is in great shape - there are a few minor dings, but the wild finish largely distracts from those. It's set up well, and the intonation is bang on (as you'd expect) across the board.
The OHSC has some damage, but is still usable. And the bass has a matching headstock.
So, my GAS has subsided (for now), and my Modulus tally stands at 3... please no-one tempt me with an affordable Q6, my poor bank balance can't handle it!!!
So. Happy.

Every time I see a pic of a Genesis 5-string in Quilted Maple I kick myself for not buying one when I had a chance.

Update on my Q6SS. Frets are shot. Neck has a slight bow and it is not able to be set up.. So, fret job, neck work and electronic work. Par for the course with me and my used moduli!! Should take a couple of weeks to get back since I am in no hurry! Then to play it. Like the wind on a calm day.. About as good as it gets! More to come..
Perhaps I missed something in this thread; where are you sending a Modulus for neck repair work?
My luthier is a Master Luthier. His name is Tim Connaly. He is amazing. He has worked on all my Moduli.. He is the head master luthier for Hofner USA as well. Located here in Kenosha, WI.. My Q6SS has a ebony board. He also repaired my Bassstar and Q5 with the phenolic board. All with no truss rods. And, a while back, I sold a Q5SS (1988) here on TB that Tim did all the work on. I cannot recommend him enough.. Great guy. And he is a bass player to boot!!
QQ! (Quick question) does the neck react immediately or after a few minutes after the "truss rod" adjustment?
