Usually if you contact the store, you can get pics. Depending on the color and features, that's a good price, but not a great one.

I always hear these tales and rumors from people about finding killer deals on moduli at either gc or local used shops or on CL... Etc. And I just find myself overwhelmed with jealousy. For instance my buddy here in Madison (who actually was the one who inspired me to pull the trigger on my first modulus a couple years back) got his quantum 6 turbo off a Craigslist ad for like $900 bucks. It's a beast and he's had it for over 10 years and it's still his number one.
I'd just like to find one... ONE great deal like that! On a q5 or maybe a flea bass. Where do you lucky guys find these deals usually? I need to explore all possible avenues.

Otoh, my tbx was a pretty stellar deal IMO especially considering 1 just sold for just shy of $7000

Just giving you a hard time. And I'm right there with you- worst thing I ever did was get reading glasses, 'cuz now I can't live without them.
I've got some good deals on gear, and it just seems to be a) being in the right place at the right time (with the $$$ to spend), or b) not being afraid (not scared afraid, but the socially uncomfortable "afraid") to ask.

Hah, yea I guess I could totally just ask people at shows/gigs how much they'd want for their modulus. Sounds tacky, but why not! Bahahaha!

I think if they ever make tbx basses again, I'd probably try to save up for one. They are too cool and I'm dying to try one.

They actually are making them. However they are $7000 for the base model. I spoke to Tony about a month ago and he sent me a quote
Ouch. But when you look at how much foderas and alleva coppolos go for... One of these days, I'll get one again...
@Fred312b I hear you there, but I myself have never bought a bass in that high of a range before. Most I've spent is just under 2,500. I don't know when I'll have 7k to comfortably throw away on a bass but if I do, I feel like it will never leave my house. Idk if that'd be worth it to me.
I agree the most I spent was $4200 on my Fodera standard and that was a painful swipe of the card. However, it is a special bass. So is my Mod as well though.
