Modulus Mob

so im deciding i don't really dig the whole 5 string thing. i'm thinking of selling the q5 i just acquired or just returning it. probably to purchase a different bass. anyone interested let me know. i'll do a good deal for ya. I have one week before i have to return it, so lemme know.
I get that. I played a Q6 all through college and beyond. Then, I started playing 4 again for my more blues and rock gigs. Now I don't like the feel at all anymore. But, as 6's go, the Q6 is very comfy.

I got a LP pickup for my FU4 and comparing my bass to the one that has been demoed recently, I can tell that I find that LP + graphite neck is a better combination than the original pickup. It sounds more natural and growly and punchy. Definitely worth it!
I would LOVE to have the Modulus logo in the ring on my pickup instead of the LP logo... looks just so badass!! I even considered custom ordering the logo into the pickup but decided not to because of the awful connection I had with them.

It takes a while to get used to the 5 string. That was/is kinda fast . I read in an interview that Stanly Clarke has a 5 but doesn't play it that much yet because he says he gets lost at times . The guy has played acoustic and 4's his whole life, and I feel the same way .... I really have to concentrate when I play my Q5 . Good luck with the sale .

Sometimes I just know. It can be that quick sometimes. Granted it was fast but I just see no use for me to have a b string.

I know for me, I can't go back and forth between 4's and 5's, so I got rid of my 4's. When I had a 6, that didn't bother me (going between the 5 and the 6). I remember reading an interview with Muzz Skillings (from Living Colour) and he said the same thing- when he decided to switch the 5's, he didn't take any 4's out on tour with him, and after a while, he got the hang of it (not that I am comparing myself to Muzz or Stanley).

I posted the q5 on the classifieds. But I can cut a little deal for one of you guys from the mob.
Be careful when dealing with the mob...

wanted some opinions
k have to replace the stock pickups on my tbx. the neck pick is going. they are emg 35's. i never quite liked them. I am looking for a warmer tone, less crunchy highes. What are some suggestion? anyone have experience with a few brands and can compare? thank you for your time.

Yea pics or it didn't happen.

I'd say if you want less bite go for some dual coil pickups of some type. Some folks like barts. I am a fan of delano soapbars. But if money is no object, nordstrand is my favorite thing to put in moddys thus far.
