Has anybody tried the Legacy LPs? They were available till about 3 years ago, and now seem to have resurfaced. I'd like to try one in one of my Flea's.
they are the absolute worst at dealign with any kind of inquiries. Essentially been impossible to get a hold of to get any info for pricing, ordering, etc.
I get that. I played a Q6 all through college and beyond. Then, I started playing 4 again for my more blues and rock gigs. Now I don't like the feel at all anymore. But, as 6's go, the Q6 is very comfy.so im deciding i don't really dig the whole 5 string thing. i'm thinking of selling the q5 i just acquired or just returning it. probably to purchase a different bass. anyone interested let me know. i'll do a good deal for ya. I have one week before i have to return it, so lemme know.
It takes a while to get used to the 5 string. That was/is kinda fast . I read in an interview that Stanly Clarke has a 5 but doesn't play it that much yet because he says he gets lost at times . The guy has played acoustic and 4's his whole life, and I feel the same way .... I really have to concentrate when I play my Q5 . Good luck with the sale .so im deciding i don't really dig the whole 5 string thing. i'm thinking of selling the q5 i just acquired or just returning it. probably to purchase a different bass. anyone interested let me know. i'll do a good deal for ya. Sometimes I just know. It can be that quick sometimes. Granted it was fast but I just see no use for me to have a b string. It takes a while to get used to the 5 string. That was/is kinda fast . I know for me, I can't go back and forth between 4's and 5's, so I got rid of my 4's. When I had a 6, that didn't bother me (going between the 5 and the 6). I remember reading an interview with Muzz Skillings (from Living Colour) and he said the same thing- when he decided to switch the 5's, he didn't take any 4's out on tour with him, and after a while, he got the hang of it (not that I am comparing myself to Muzz or Stanley). It takes a while to get used to the 5 string. Be careful when dealing with the mob...I posted the q5 on the classifieds. But I can cut a little deal for one of you guys from the mob.
