Your GG goes out of tune? I keep my moddys out of their cases or in my mono bag frequently and they barely ever detune. That's bizarre. I have an $240 Access hsc for my Carl Thompson. Very well made cases. Definitely get what you pay for. I trust it to keep my CT safe and the fit is remarkably close.
Yeah, I think that in the mono soft case, the headstock hits against the case moving the tuners
That's interesting. I have a Mono Vertigo and it's fine for my Q5, but I have a Lakland 55-94 and the tuners hit the sides of the bag as well. haven't ever transported it in it though, so not sure of tuning issues.
I got a deal locally on a flight case for my Modulus- I have NO need for it, but for the $$$, I couldn't say no. I also have a OHSC, which is in great shape, that I got off the 'bay, but I am SUPER tempted by those new tear drop ones, but $250 is a lot of $$$.
Huh. That seems so odd; none of the tuners on any of my basses (including the Quantum 6-string) touch any part of the case when they're in my Mono M80. That was part of the appeal of the M80!
Same on my Access. tons of space it's almost as roomy as an acoustic bag.
Suggestion. Store your (Dean Markley Blue Steel in my case)
box of spare strings behind the headstock. Sort of provides a wider
flat support behind the tuners. Or a small cat; which will sound an
alarm if the guitar player tries to jack with your tunings.

$8000 Bassstar.. I'm rich. If his 4 string production w/Alembic pickups is worth $8K, my even more rare earlier 5 string neck thru Bassstar should be upwards of $100,000.. At least I think so

Am I the only one who finds blatant branding on components like pickups and bridges [COUGH-Babicz-COUGH] tacky? Next, we'll be seeing logo knobs and tuners and then we'll be playing NASCARs.

Yeah, nothing like that old warm feeling when
you see an expensive instrument with a BADDASS bridge..
Badbass is close to the tacky line but not over it for me. There are Bartolini, Badass, and Gotoh logos in this pic but they don't really jump out at you (The green and blue basses have Modulus necks so this isn't off topic!
